In August of 2009 a very talented young man (my son) found this cool template and helped me start the B.D. Tharp domain web site. The content has varied from writer’s tips, my personal writing journey, marketing and promoting my novel Feisty Family Values and other writing related “stuff.” (I like the word stuff, it makes me think of that George Carlin routine.)

I’ve had the pleasure of interviewing some great authors like Penny Enhrenkranz, Drue Allen and Jacqueline Seewald; and plan to continue for at least the next year.  These are really fun to do and I look forward to them every month. It gives you a peek at other writer’s journey’s, besides just my own.  And there are so many great authors out there. (Me, too! Me, too!)

Sometimes I share messages from the muse (usually in the form of Dove Dark Chocolate Promises). I’m addicted to them, the best dark chocolate I’ve ever found, and can’t turn away a quaint turn of phrase or inspiring message.  I’m a glass is half full kind of person.

I also find inspiration in other places: books, friends, children, nature, music, art and of course my dogs. How do my dogs inspire me? That’s easy, they are filled with joy, curiosity, love and mischief. They only want to please. So, let’s pretend we writers are equivalent to our fine furry friends, and our readers are our “people”. We want our people to see how much we enjoy writing, witness the curiosity inherent in us, share our love of a good story (our story) and the mischief our characters overcome.  Hey, it works for me!
