I LOVE Dove Dark Chocolate promises and they have a message inside the wrapper.  These messages are often useful reminders  or positive encouragers to me as a writer and as a person.  Let me share some of my recent ones:

Live life for the experiences, not for possessions. (so I may not get rich from Feisty Family Values sales, but I will become rich in readers)

Simplicity is the essence of elegance. (keeping things simple works in every aspect of life)

Attitudes are contagious – is yours worth catching? (I hope so, I love being an author, seeing my work in print and eBook, meeting readers, and writing the new book.)

Don’t stress – think and this too shall pass. (For sure. Especially when it comes to writers block.)

Chase your dreams. (Wow, that’s what every writer is doing with every word they write.)

I also have a folder filled with post it notes of phrases I’ve heard over the years. Here’s a few good ones:
