Joshilyn Jackson tonight at

I’ve been reading a lot about Joshilyn Jackson the past few weeks and all of it has been good. My bookstore buddies recommend her, and the Watermark crew said I ought to come to her signing tonight. So, I am! 7:00 PM, Watermark Books, Douglas & Oliver. If you’re in the neighborhood stop by and join me in the fun.
What clinched it for me was reading her blog: Faster than Kudzu. I love the way Jackson writes. She is hilarious! Now, Kudzu is something I’ve never heard of, so being a good writer I researched it. One of it’s nick names is “the vine that ate the South.” I love it! (Notice all the exclamation points – I do that when I get excited about something.) Anyway, because my spouse is a master of trivia I asked him if he knew what Kudzu was and he said it was a plant. So, I’d say that was a “yes.” I’ve lived all my life in Kansas and I have to tell you that I’ve never heard of Kudzu (only cud – which is what cows chew, but that is another story). I guess I’ve lived a sheltered life, so I don’t mind that I didn’t know something like this. I love learning new things.
Join me and meet this spirited writer whose new book “Backseat Saints” was recently released. Stay cool!
